I will rent a car in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and spend 4 days in Thailand from the 16th to the 20th of January, will there be any additional fees?
Agent
The rate / price shown on the results page is the total price. Unless you add any extras like GPS, additional driver or insurance (if offered online).
Client
So, it is OK to spend 4 days in South Thailand and normal insurance applies ?
Agent
Your search is for 20 days?
Client
Yes, 20 days with full insurance and 4 days in South-Thailand
Agent
BASIC INSURANCE is included, you can add extra insurance once you have selected the car.
Client
So it is also possible to cross the border toThailand for some days? I am looking at Paradise Car Rental
Agent
Look here for cross border:-
To view the CROSS BORDER or FERRY terms and conditions. At STEP2 of our 3 step online booking process, alongside the car photo of your choice, there is a link entitled “IMPORTANT INFORMATION”. Clicking on this link will open an additional smaller window, with the terms and conditions appertaining to that particular car/supplier. Choose then the CAR tab and look under TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS.
Try a few different suppliers as each supplier/vehicle type may have a different cross border rule.
Agent
Yes...just wanted to suggest Paradise Car Rental
Client
They allow cross border travel, but they say a fee may apply.... I need to know what that fee is and if the insurance is still OK.
Agent
Most suppliers do not allow cross border from Malaysia to Thailand. Supplier Paradise may allow against a fee. To find out you may want to call the local supplier before you make the reservation. Follow the next instructions to find contact details per provider.
Agent
Select a car with Paradise, then at the right hand side you click on "View pick-up details". Contact details of the supplier will appear there.
